Tony was born in October of 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio. He graduated from Rayen High School in 1958. In the fall of 1959, he joined the Navy and went to boot camp at Great Lakes, Illinois. After graduating, he went directly to Machinist's Mate "A" School. His next duty station was on the tanker, the U.S.S. Mississinewa AO-144. They left the yard in Norfolk, Virginia to their home port in Naples, Italy for two years. During that time, they refueled other ships and delivered supplies, ammunition, and spare parts. From there Tony went back to Norfolk, Virginia to serve on a repair ship, the U.S.S. Amphion AR-13. In 1962, he left his ship to attend Air Conditioning and Refrigeration School. Once completed, he returned to finish out the remainder of his enlistment. Tony was honorably discharged in September of 1964 with the rank of E-6, Machinist's Mate First Class. Returning home he went to work for a refrigeration company installing and repairing grocery store and refrigeration equipment. He got married to his first wife and had three children Tony, Chris, and Kimberly. In 1992, he met and married his second wife, Rebecca, and gained two more daughters, Lynnette and Carey. He retired in 1999 to enjoy more time with his wife and family. Currently, they have 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Tony joined Hubbard VFW Post 3767 in 2006 and became their Chaplain in 2008; a position he still holds today. He's also a member of the Honor Guard, Event Committee, and House Committee at his post.
